Fielders KingFlor RF55 (ReFlor 55) is a traditional flat pan or “re-entrant” profile that provides unmatched performance in suspended concrete slabs. Used in both concrete and steel frame construction, RF55 utilises patented ReLok technology to achieve superior spanning capabilities, less deflection and greater composite strength than similar re-entrant profiles.

 

RF55 excels in structural performance due to the patented ReLok corner embossments that develop a strong mechanical interlock with the concrete slab. Moreover, it possesses dovetail lapping ribs which resist lateral deflection to enhance the profile’s spanning capacity and strength in positive bending and end shear.

 

RF55 is manufactured from DECKFORM, a G550 (550 MPa Yield Stress) steel with a base metal thickness (BMT) of 0.60mm, 0.75mm or 1.00mm (0.90mm and 1.2mm BMT are available upon request). The galvanised coating thickness is a Z350 (350 g/m2) in accordance with AS 1397. As such, RF55® is a high quality product made from premium grade steel.

Applications for RF55 include multilevel car parks, high-rise buildings and shopping centres. The most famous of its applications is on the Masonic Centre in central Sydney. At 24 stories with a total floor area of 24,000m2, this project is gaining industry interest for its unique structure. Shaped like an inverted pyramid, engineering feats had to occur before this design could be realised and only RF55 could achieve these feats.
